MAY 5 - 11, 2014

EN: Quispamsis, New Brunswick native Megan Buffett acquired a passion for viola at the age of eleven. After playing her first symphony with the New Brunswick Youth Orchestra in 2003, the challenges of being a classical musician inspired her to further her studies in music. Megan studied her Bachelor of Music at Memorial University of Newfoundland, where she studied under Duo Concertante's own Nancy Dahn. Throughout her career, Megan fulfilled the position of section violist for the Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra, as well as section principal for the Long Island Youth Orchestra, New Brunswick Youth Orchestra and Newfoundland Symphony Youth Orchestra. The aforementioned orchestras gave her the opportunity to perform music in twelve different countries, and have vastly grown her interest in travel and performance. Megan now resides in Halifax, and hopes to continue her studies in music, focusing on her passion for studio recording and electronic music.
